Jessica Nelson

Hello! I'm Jessica Nelson and I teach first grade at Lewisville Elementary School. I am from Pfafftown, North Carolina. I graduated from Appalachian State University with an Elementary Education degree in 2005. Recently, I have started my graduate studies in Reading Education through App State. This is my fourth year of teaching and I feel honored to have been chosen Teacher of the Year this year. In my spare time, I like traveling to the beach and spending time with family and friends. I love teaching first grade!!!

I have learned so much about technology this semester! I have created digital books, a digital video, a blog, podcasts through Gabcast and added captions to a video. I also learned more about social networking and I have a Facebook and MySpace account. Here is a digital photo album of my first graders on a field trip to the Fire Department.
